*ˁVṣ̂āṣ̂-/*ˁVṣ̂īṣ̂- - (kind of) bone (SED I No. 24)

Though Arb. and MSA only, rather a common Sem. root: the MSA words being main terms for ‘bone’ can hardly be loan-words from Arb., with its very specified meaning.

Proto-MSA
*ˁVṣ̂īṣ̂- - bone (Kogan 2015: 586)
Perhaps related to Arb. ˁuḍḍāḍ- ‘cartilage of the nose’

Arabic
ˁuḍāḍ- - le haut du nez, à l’endroit où les sourcils se séparent (the top of the nose, where the eyebrows part) (BK 2 277)
Var. ˁaḍḍāḍ-. According to Belot Arb.-Fr. 501, the same two words mean ‘os, cartilage’.
