Close semantic parallels from the same root are attested in Akkadian: ḳitrubu ‘attack, melee,’ ḳitrubiš ‘in a close battle’ (CAD Q 282), taḳrubtu ‘battle’ (CAD T 201) (Kogan 2015:427).
