The origin is uncertain. Compare probably with Arb. ˁšw ‘to repair, to betake oneself by night’. Cf. also Tgr. ˁassä ‘to fly; to run quickly’ as well as Akk. ašāšu ‘to be worried’. (Kogan 2015:550)
