Jewish Palestinian Aramaic

gbynth - hump, hill (DJPA 119)

PWS
*gVb(V)b-, gVb(b)-an- - hump, hunchback (SED I No. 67; Kogan 2011: 230)
The root is likely related to *ganb- ‘side and back of torso’ (SED I No. 85). Though traditionally identified with Sem. *gbb ‘to be bent’ ([CDG 177], [DRS 94]), the present root is rather influenced by, than related to, the latter.
