barsillû - (a type of pot) (CAD B 113, AHw. 1547)

The Akk. word is attested once in a late lexical list (if the restoration is correct) where it corresponds to Sum. (dug)BAR.si-il-la “cracked pot” (cf. PSD B 128, Sallaberger 1996, 98). The exact pronunciation of the Akk. word is uncertain. It appears to be a late “learned” borrowing from Sumerian (III or later).
