Akkadian

pakāru - to bind, to fetter (CAD P 35, AHw. 812)

Direct cognates are attested only in Aramaic: JBA pkr ‘to clasp, to join’, Syr. pkar ‘vinxit, connexuit’, Mnd. pkr ‘to tie up, to bind’. Von Soden (AHw. 812) tentatively surmises an Aramaic loanword in Akkadian.
