pīštu - insult (CAD P 433, AHw. 869)

One wonders whether Akk. pīštu ‘insult’ may be related to PC *pašˁ- ‘crime, transgression’ rather than derived from the somewhat ephemeral *wapāšu (AHw. 1459, CAD U-W 402).
