Akkadian

paḫāḫu - to weaken (?) (CAD P 20, AHw. 810)

The existence of this verbal root in Akkadian is doubtful. As long as the suggested meaning “to be weak” is considered possible, cf. JBA pḥḥˀ “weakness” (DJBA 895), Syr. pḥiḥā “mollis, debilis, futilis” (LSyr. 562), Arb. ˀal-faḫḫu = ˀistirḫāʔu r-riǧlayni “weakness of the feet” (TA 7 311).
