Although similar to PS *kV in form, this word has a different meaning. It is difficult to say, whether it should be considered as development of the basic (comparative) meaning or one is supposed to deal with homonymy (Arakelova 2001: 17–18, 51).

Non-Semitic Afroasiatic evidence (see Eg. -ṯny) points at the primary nature of Akkadian-Arabic picture (Kogan 2009:69).
