The translation ‘mountain’ is possible (‘Cross the mountain, cross the height’ in Pardee 1997:255), but hardly compelling (v. Renfroe 1992:103‒104 and 139‒140 for the alternative translation ‘Byblos,’ tentatively accepted in Parker 1997:118, 169) (Kogan 2015: 325)

As long as the Ugaritic word is thought to mean “hump,” there is no need to consider it a borrowing from Akk. gipšu ‘mass’, see SED I No. 82 (Kogan 2015: 361).
