tabˁa - to be brave, to be manly (CDG 569)

In CDG 569, Gez. tabˁa ‘to be brave, to be manly’ and its EthS cognates are tentatively compared to Akk. tebû ‘to rise to make war,’ tēbû ‘insurgent,’ but this is unlikely since Akk. tebû (as well as Ugr. tbˁ) is primarily a verb of movement whose military connotations are at best secondary.
