Cf. discussion in [EDH 94] where the underlying form kurun+bāy is postulated with reservations to compare it to Amh. kərn ‘elbow’, Gog. kərrä (cf. *kʷirāˁ­ ‘knee and shin-bone; lower leg (of animal)’, No. 157); at the same time, a possibility of the Har. term «coming close» to Sel. kirmāyo is also admitted.
