Questionable. Though fully coinciding with ḥəfən ‘both hands fulľ (see *ḥa/upn-­ ‘hollow of the hand, handfuľ, No. 125), has probably a different origin because of the semantic difference; one wonders whether the underlying form can be *ḥufn, with a secondary ­-n (an old suffix or a result of contamination with ḥəfən ‘both hands fulľ?).
