*kš/ŝd - to reach (Kogan 2015:336)

The root has no clear cognates elsewhere in Semitic. The semantic overlap between Akkadian and Ugaritic is, of course, far from complete.

Akkadian
kašādu - to reach, to arrive (AHw. 459, CAD K 271)

Cf. Ugr. kšd ‘to search for, to reach’, Arb. kāšid- ‘one who earns, obtains much’

Ugaritic
kšd - to search for, to reach (DUL 467, Watson 2007: 91)
Arabic
kāšid- - one who earns, obtains much (LA 3 466)
