Var. pitēḳu. The desription of pitḳu as “Subarean” (SU) in Exp. Malku, as well as the semantic and phonetic similarity with Hurrian futki ‘son’ (BGH 333), strongly suggests a foreign origin. According to Thiel–Wegner 1984:202f., the two forms, dubbed “hurroid” by the authors, may stem from a language close to Hurrian.
