PS *wḳd/*ḳwd ‘to burn’ is relatively well attested (DRS 601), but as opposed to Aramaic neither Hbr. yḳd, nor Akk. ḳâdu, nor Arb. wqd can be said to function as the basic verbs with the meaning “to burn” (intransitive) in the respective languages.
