Ebla

ḫa-la-mi-im /γalm-im/ - boy (Fronzaroli 1984: 142)

sg. gen.

For some remarks on the passage see BFE 137f.

PCS
*γalm- - boy, young man (Kogan 2015:186)
Arb. γlm ‘to be vehemently affected with lust’ is usually considered to be denominative from γulām-, but cf. Jib. γéləm ‘(camels) to run wild (after the summer)’, with no comparable nominal form (an Arabism?)
There is hardly any connection with PWS *γlm ‘to be dark
(Kogan 2015: 187)
