J.Krecher identifies it with WS *ḥḏy/*ḥzy In his discussion of this equation, Krecher refers to D. O. Edzard’s criticism (in personal communication) against the underlying sibilant correspondence, but in view of the Ugaritic cognate with d this query becomes largely superfluous. Considerably more troubling is NI = ì, not expected to correspond to the sequence *ḥi in the Ebla syllabary
