asakku - taboo (AHw. 73; CAD A₂ 326)

Partially equivalent to PWS *ḥrm 'to forbid' (Akk. ḫarimtu ‘prostitute’ (CAD Ḫ 101, AHw. 325) probably related). Both asakku and ikkibu 'taboo' are borrowed from Sumerian. (Kogan 2015:84)
