Contra SED II No. 143, the Akk.-Ugr. isogloss is exclusive: the often quoted Soq. lúloh ‘brébis’ (LS 231) does not seem to exist (Kogan 2015: 337). However, cf. perhaps Soq. éľeľ ‘female kid goat’.
Meaning somewhat diffuse (originally may denote trunk as a whole). Semantically and phonetically (a vs. i) rather to be separated from *libb- ‘heart’.
Scarce but reliable attestation: only Akk. and Arb.
Though attested scarcely and with meaning shifts, reliable enough to be separated from homonymous *lVγ- ‘jaw’ for semantic reasons.
There is a series of derived verbal forms with meanings connected with throat, most of which are likely to have developed independently in different languages.
