PS
*gnn/gny/gnˀ - to enclose, to protect, to shelter
(DRS 147‒149; Kogan 2015: 209)
Apparently related to (derived from?) this root is Sem. *gnz ‘to wrap up the corpse, to prepare a body for funerals’
There is a trend to compare this root with Sem. *gd/ḏp ‘to fly’ > *gadp- ‘wing’ implying a secondary formation with loss of *-d-, which is unlikely
PS
*gapn- - tree, trunk
(Fronzaroli 1969b: 8, 25, 33)
PS
*garab- - leprosy, mange, scab
(SED I No. 91; Kogan 2011: 230)
PS
*grd - to scrape, remove hair by scraping
(SED I 298 (note to No. 36))
Cf. *ḳard- ‘neck, throat’; variant roots with g vs. ḳ?
PS
*garad- - kind of insect
(SED II No. 83)
